Terry Williams has been a New Orleans resident for over 40 years. A graduate of South Terrebonne High School, where he excelled academically and athletically, Terry earned scholarships to Stanford and Loyola University. He holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting and Management Information Systems, graduating magna cum laude, and passed the Uniform C.P.A. exam in 1987.
Terry built his corporate career at United Parcel Service, where he served for 18 years in multiple logistics roles and ultimately as Controller, managing a $10 billion budget and over 2,000 employees. He is currently President of Airware Transportation and Logistics, a DBE, SBE, MBE, and NMSDC-certified firm employing 42 people, and CFO of AVI Insurance Caribbean. His firm has operated in over 37 airports worldwide, overseeing more than $25 billion in capital projects, including serving as Program Manager for the $1 billion International Terminal at Louis Armstrong International Airport.
In 2013, Terry received the National Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC) Award for excellence in aviation. His expertise spans transportation, insurance, logistics, accounting, construction management, project management, and information systems.
Active in the community, Terry serves on numerous boards, including the Zulu Mardi Gras Non-Profit Board of Directors, and is affiliated with organizations such as AMAC, AAAЕ, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, AICPA, and the NFL Alumni Charitable Committee.
