David Cayemitte is the Chief Executive Officer of Embrace Partners, Inc., a tech-driven managing general underwriter (MGU) of specialty commercial insurance and surety. In addition to providing insurance services, the Embrace Platform offers diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) consulting to support sustainable growth, access to capital, and bonding for underserved small businesses in construction. Embrace is certified as a Minority Business Enterprise by the National Minority Supplier Development Council.
Having founded Embrace Partners as majority owner/partner with Ambac Financial Group, Inc. (Ambac) (NYSE: AMBC, David Cayemitte envisions Embrace as balancing a moral view with a business objective of aligning corporate America in a way that will help bridge the gaps of inequality. For more than 20 years prior to launching his first insurance agency, David led management and underwriting teams with Fortune 100 insurers, developing complex financial executive liability programs for all types of organizations. David began his career at industry leader American International Group (AIG), honing both credit and financial analytical skills over a 14-year tenure. He has extensive experience underwriting and managing products, including Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practice Liability, Pension Trust Liability, Crime, Bond exposures, General Partnership Liability, and Venture Capital Liability. As Vice President of National Union, AIG, David was responsible for managing portfolios from $30 – $150 million in gross written premium. While being a Regional Vice President at The St. Paul Travelers Companies, David has also managed the books of business, including Investment Advisors, Agents E&O, Miscellaneous E&O, Lawyers E&O, and Property & Casualty for financial institutions. David has been an active leader in the MWBE market space since 2005, providing innovative solutions that cultivate opportunities for diversely owned businesses. He frequently speaks at conferences about Embrace Partners’ mission, products, and services.
